Our Philosophy

• Any additional design elements will incur an extra cost. Nail removal is not covered. There will be an additional fee for medium or long nails. Reshaping may be subject to an additional charge. 

• For an alternative option, we offer stickers as a substitute for hand-drawn designs to accommodate your budget. 

Please feel free to send us an inspiration picture before your appointment so we can give you an estimate.

• For any design, we will try our best to achieve the same result but we cannot guarantee. 

• To ensure the final result closely matches your expectations, we recommend choosing a picture that best reflects the dimensions of your nails. 

• Please send us your nail inspiration to our Instagram @1997nailbarto before your appointment if you feel you may have specific preferences. This will help us confirm if we can achieve your desired look.

•  No warranty is provided for regular air-dry polish. 

• Please schedule a design service to allow us to allocate additional time for your appointment. Unfortunately, we may need to deny your request if extra time is not booked to ensure that appointments following yours are not affected. 

• Anticipate an additional time frame of 1-2.5 hours for the creation of design sets. It is advisable to avoid scheduling appointments within a narrow timeframe, as the duration of appointments is not assured, and the design process will not be hurried. 

•  We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to choose a shade that is the most similar. 

• We kindly ask that you avoid pressuring us to recreate or mix colors. Rest assured, we will do our best to help you find the shades you desire that are available in our colour charts. 

• Please feel free to send us a picture of the colors before your visit so we can check for a match. We want to provide you with the best service possible and ensure we don’t waste your time if we don’t have the colors you’re looking for.

No refund will be given after you leave the store. If you are not happy with your nails, please let the staffs adjust them to your satisfaction. 

You must arrange an appointment to have your nails fixed within 7 days after your initial service. We will get shellac polish fixed if the colours chipped. 

No warranty is provided for regular air-dry polish. 

 Enjoy 5% off with a physical student ID. Discount may be refused if ID is not presented. 

Please be advised that we are not responsible for any infections that may occur after your visit. Our tools and equipment follow a strict 3-step sanitation process: disinfecting, soaking in alcohol for a full 10 minutes, and sterilizing under a UV light machine. Pedicure kits are strictly single-use and disposed of after each client to ensure maximum hygiene and safety. 

Nails should be treated as accessories, not weapons, so please handle them with care.

Please understand that removal may result in some damage, as we need to  carefully remove the nails that are strongly adhered.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone that we believe is having violent, racist or threatening behaviour, theft disruptive, intoxicated and other illegal activities or infractions of store policies.

Please take care of your personal belongings during your visit, including bags, jewelry, clothing, electronic devices, and other valuables. While we do our best to maintain a safe and comfortable space, 1997 Nail Bar is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items. 

As a nail salon environment involves liquids and tools, accidents may happen, such as nail polish spilling or items being misplaced. We recommend keeping your belongings secure at all times. For your convenience, please remove jewelry (especially rings) and keep valuables safely in your bag before your service begins.
